We process your account data on the basis of your consent, given when you register, and our legitimate interest in maintaining an accurate family record. You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.
To operate the family tree, verify membership, show profiles to other approved members (subject to your privacy settings), send account and notification emails, and keep the platform secure.
Your profile is visible only to approved, signed-in members. You control whether your date of birth, occupation, biography and email are shown to others via Profile → Privacy. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties except infrastructure providers (hosting and image storage) acting on our behalf.
Account data is kept while your account is active. On deletion we remove your personal and contact details. Family-history entries you contributed may be retained as part of the shared record but are no longer linked to you. Expired security tokens and stale logs are periodically purged.
Profiles of minors should only be added by a parent or guardian, who consents on the child's behalf. Contact the administrator to remove or restrict a minor's profile.
We use a single essential session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
We may update this policy; material changes will be notified in-app. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
